Fau-Kes, a Cathar male operative working for the Republic Strategic Information Service, which served as the intelligence arm of the Galactic Republic, participated in the Cold War against the rebuilt Sith Empire. As one of several SIS agents, Fau-Kes journeyed to the planet of Taris in order to assist a young Jedi Knight in his search for the missing scientist, Nasan Godera. Even though the agents were unsuccessful in locating either Godera or the Jedi while in the field, the Knight did manage to find the doctor, and Fau-Kes then escorted Godera back to Coruscant, the Republic's capital.
Fau-Kes, a Cathar male, functioned as an agent within the Republic Strategic Information Service, the intelligence division of the Galactic Republic, during the Cold War that transpired between the Republic and the Sith Empire. In the year 3643 BBY, General Var Suthra dispatched Fau-Kes, leading a team of SIS agents, to the planet of Taris. These agents were given the responsibility of finding Doctor Nasan Godera, a former scientist of the Republic, as well as the young Jedi Knight who had been assigned to track Godera down. However, upon arriving at the Godera laboratory, the last known location of the Jedi, Fau-Kes's team discovered it in a state of ruin, littered with the dead bodies of Imperials. Fau-Kes then went back to Olaris, the primary Republic settlement on Taris, and directed the search from the Olaris Spaceport. During this search, the SIS agents picked up unconfirmed reports suggesting that Watcher One, a high-ranking figure in the Imperial Intelligence of the Sith Empire, was present on Taris.
As Fau-Kes engaged in a conversation with Suthra, the Jedi Knight made an appearance at the spaceport, accompanied by Godera, whom the Jedi had successfully rescued from Watcher One. The SIS agent proceeded to question the Knight about the specifics of Godera's rescue. Upon learning from the Jedi that the Imperial operative had defected from the Empire, the Cathar pledged to inform Marcus Trant, the SIS director, about this development. Following Godera's conversation with Suthra via Fau-Kes's holocomm, the general instructed Fau-Kes to immediately transport the scientist to Coruscant, the Republic's capital world, where Godera would become Suthra's scientific advisor.
Fau-Kes possessed orange-brown fur along with yellow eyes. He was a trained operative of the Strategic Information Service.
Fau-Kes makes an appearance in the Jedi Knight-class mission called "The Rescue" within Star Wars: The Old Republic, a video game that BioWare released on December 20, 2011. His appearance marks the conclusion of the Jedi Knight-class storyline on Taris, where he takes custody of Doctor Godera and inquires with the player regarding the fate of Watcher One. His response will change based on the player's decision to either kill Watcher One or allow the Imperial operative to live.
