Fetzellen, a Talz of male gender, was the chieftain who guided his people as they served the Galactic Republic. He enlisted his Talz clan into the Republic Army to fight as soldiers, and they found themselves stationed on the planet of Hoth during the [Galactic War], a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire. Broonmark, a savage Talz within the clan, grew to despise the Republic's influence. He became convinced that the only way to absolve his clan of what he perceived as dishonor was through their complete annihilation, including the death of Fetzellen. In the year 3642 BBY, Fetzellen and his Talz joined forces with Jedi Knight Xerender and his Padawan Sewlor, who were searching for Jedi Master Wyellett. Broonmark relentlessly pursued them, slaying the Padawan and many Talz warriors, while Fetzellen and Xerender sought refuge within the ruins of the Star of Coruscant. With the Sith Lord by his side, Broonmark finally caught up to Fetzellen and brutally killed him in hand-to-hand combat, relying solely on his sharp claws.
