Kesh capitol building
The seat of government stood proudly in the city called Tahv, which served as the capital for the planet of Kesh.
This structure, capped with a substantial glass dome, dominated the center of the Circle Eternal, a collection of buildings that was once a sprawling public square in Tahv. The inside was characterized by its dim lighting, stone-tiled floors, and a fountain where water constantly flowed. Reaching several stories in height, the building contained the Circle Chambers on its uppermost floors, accessible via a spiraling stairway.
In 4975 BBY, Yaru Korsin, the founder and inaugural Grand Lord of the Tribe, initiated the construction of the Kesh capitol building. Its construction marked the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Tribe's arrival on Kesh. Before this, the Tribe had made their home in a mountainside Sith Temple erected above the Sith starship Omen within the Takara Mountains. Upon Yaru Korsin's passing that same year, his daughter Nida Korsin commanded the Tribe to relocate to Tahv, designating the capitol building as the Grand Lord's official residence. Furthermore, the capitol building housed the Tribe's historical records and the office of the Caretaker, entrusted with preserving the Tribe's history and managing its chronology.
The capitol building decayed into a ruin during the Time of the Rot, a period of instability and internal conflict lasting 960 years that followed the death of Grand Lord Lillia Venn on the Night of the Upside-Down Meteor in 3960 BBY. By 3000 BBY, the Caretaker's office, containing the Tribe's archives and a Sandpipe utilized for measuring time, was the only section of the building that had survived intact. The main atrium of the capitol served as the venue for meetings among the leaders of the various Sith factions on Testament Day, during which the Testament of Yaru Korsin was recited to the Tribe. The archives were raided and plundered by Sith rioters during the Great Crisis, resulting in the destruction of numerous historical parchments and the Sandpipe.
During the Hilts Restoration, Grand Lord Varner Hilts supervised the capitol building's renovation to its prior splendor. Once again, it became the official residence for the Grand Lord and his family. In 2975 BBY, Jogan Halder, an Alanciari hostage, was received as a guest of the Sith within the capitol building. As a deception to convince Halder that the Sith were the benevolent Protectors, his Keshiri guides informed him that the Sith always lived in the capitol building, where they dedicated their time to peaceful meditation. He was also granted an audience with the Circle of Lords, who convened within the building.
After an unsuccessful assassination attempt on Grand Lord Hilts in 2974 BBY, Parlan Spinner, a Sith anarchist, was escorted to Hilts' study inside the capitol building. There, Hilts chose to spare Spinner's life, assigning the young man to work as a sailor aboard the Alanciari sailing vessel Southern Star. During the Siege of Tahv that same year, portions of the Kesh capitol building were damaged by the Leviathans of Remulus Dreypa, a Sith Lord. However, they were destroyed by Spinner's Jedi starship. Following Dreypa's defeat, the capitol building, along with the rest of Tahv, was reconstructed.
