Boonta Eve was a yearly Hutt festival and holiday that took place on the desert planet Tatooine. This celebration occurred during the final decades of both the Old Republic and the era of the New Republic. The holiday paid tribute to Boonta Hestilic Shad'ruu's ascension to godhood. Fireworks marked the occasion in Mos Eisley. To remember the holiday, the Boonta Eve Classic race was an annual event that happened just outside of Mos Espa.
