Between the years 25,793 and 25,792 BBY, following the capture of the gas giants Obri and Mawr during their invasion of the Tython system, the Rakata species's Infinite Empire mounted an attack on the planet Tython. This was because Predor Skal'nas wished to obtain the Infinity Gate that was said to be located there. The Je'daii Order, however, successfully defended against the Rakatan forces. As a result of their defeat, the Infinite Empire chose to capture the planet Ska Gora as an alternative.
The comic book Dawn of the Jedi: Force War 1, which was penned by John Ostrander and published by Dark Horse Comics on November 20, 2013, made reference to the battle of Tython.
