Fleet Group One was under the direction of Bothan Admiral Traest Kre'fey during the Battle of Coruscant. The Bothan Assault Cruiser Ralroost served as its command ship. During the engagement, Kre'fey employed somewhat cautious strategies, leading to a mass departure of ships, numbering in the thousands, to Fleet Group Two, which was commanded by General Garm Bel Iblis. The Ralroost led the bulk of the remaining vessels in a retreat to Kashyyyk, a stronghold of the New Republic, and subsequently launched numerous attacks on Yuuzhan Vong positions across the galaxy over the next few months. This same fleet group, still spearheaded by the Ralroost, played a key role in the large-scale ambush at Ebaq 9 located in the Deep Core, where the New Republic inflicted heavy losses on a Vong fleet commanded by Warmaster Tsavong Lah. With the restructuring of the Republic into the Galactic Alliance, the fleet group's resources were distributed and reassigned.
