During the Battle of Starkiller Base, FN-1728 was a First Order stormtrooper who had been assigned to Starkiller Base. While she was attempting to hunt down Lieutenant Sol Rivas, FN-1728 and a pair of other troopers encountered Captain Phasma. FN-1728 informed Phasma that the prevailing rumor was that General Armitage Hux was being taken off the base. Phasma then instructed them to remain at their posts unless they received different orders.
Serving as a First Order stormtrooper, FN-1728 was a human. Displaying a sense of duty, they obeyed Phasma's instructions to stay at their post, even with Starkiller Base facing imminent destruction. They were clad in white stormtrooper armor.
The character of FN-1728 made their debut appearance in Star Wars: Captain Phasma, a four-part comic book series released in 2017 by Marvel Comics as part of the Journey to Star Wars: The Last Jedi marketing campaign. Kelly Thompson conceived the character, Marco Checchetto provided the illustrations, and Andres Mossa was responsible for the coloring.
