A settlement existed on the planetary body known as Gabredor III. This colony housed several refugees originating from the world of Tatooine, among them were Kitster Banai and Wald. These individuals had been emancipated from a state of slavery through the actions of the one-time handmaiden Sabé and the former Naboo Royal Guard member Tonra. In time, Tauntaza, who served as the governor of Gabredor III, started to disregard both the planet and its colony, as she leveraged the Crimson Dawn criminal organization to strengthen her own authority. Sometime between 3 ABY and 4 ABY, Sabé sought assistance from the Sith Lord Darth Vader in an effort to liberate the colony from the control of the governor.
