Gallus

Gallus existed as a planet within the Outer Rim Territories and also the Slice regions of space. Its location was identified as grid square S-6 on the Standard Galactic Grid, and it served as the original homeworld for the sentient Gallusian species.

Production Information

The planet Gallus was first referenced on a map that was developed for the reference book titled Star Wars: Timelines. This map was distributed as a promotional poster at Celebration Anaheim on May 27, 2022, before the book's official launch during Celebration Europe from April 7 through 10, 2023. As a reflection of the chicken-inspired nature of the Gallusian character Luleo Primoc, both the name of his species and the planet Gallus are based on the bird genus name Gallus, encompassing chickens, and ultimately from the Latin term "gallus," which translates to "rooster" or "cock."
