Glow-globe

Glow-globes represented a type of spherical light source. These illuminating spheres were used, up to and including the High Republic Era, as decorations on the branches of vecari trees. These trees were situated along the avenues of Coruscant's Galactic City during the Solstice Tide celebration on that planet.

The light emitted from glow-globes rivaled the brilliance of the city's superscrapers at nighttime. The Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs made reference to glow-globes in his second culinary book, specifically The Life Day Cookbook. This cookbook was published sometime after 34 ABY, following the release of his initial cookbook, suggesting that the tradition involving glow-globes on Coruscant had ceased.

Behind the scenes

The short story "A Coruscant Solstice," penned by George Mann together with Cavan Scott, featured glow-globes. This story was included in the Life Day Treasury anthology released in 2021.
