A correctional facility existed within Gorse City, which is the designated capital of the planet known as Gorse. Following the murder of the Besalisk Lal Grallik by the industrialist Denetrius Vidian, her husband, Gord Grallik, along with his relatives, tried to apprehend Vidian and the Imperial Captain Rae Sloane with the intention of bringing them to this jail. However, Grallik's efforts to capture them failed, and he met his demise as a result.
The existence of this jail was initially brought to light in A New Dawn, a novel penned by John Jackson Miller that saw publication in the year 2015.
