A settlement existed upon the moon called Gortus 4. The settlers ceded the moon's rights to Tagge Corporation chief Lady Domina Tagge in 3 ABY, a fact conveyed to her by her aide Lapin Tagge. Upon hearing this, Domina was delighted and told Lapin to notify the Construction Division that she desired an ore processing plant to be established and operational on the moon in no more than a week's time.
The colony's existence was shown via flashbacks within the sixth edition of Star Wars: Doctor Aphra, a comic book series from 2020. Alyssa Wong penned the issue, which Marvel Comics released to the public on November 25, 2020. Before the comic's debut, StarWars.com featured the colony in a preview piece about the issue on November 18 of that same year.
