Gotar, the homeworld of the sentient Gotarite species, existed as a planet within both Wild Space and the Slice. Its position was specifically identified as U-9 on the Standard Galactic Grid.
Prior to its appearance in Star Wars: Timelines, a map that featured Gotar was distributed as a promotional poster at Celebration Anaheim on May 27, 2022. The book itself was later released during Celebration Europe, which took place from April 7 to 10, 2023.
