Graad

Graad was a male Human Mandalorian. He resided on Mandalore, the Mandalorians' cultural homeworld, which is a planet situated within the Outer Rim Territories of the galaxy's expanse. His life intersected with the onset of the Second Galactic Civil War. He was known to wear Mandalorian armor with purple plating. In 40 ABY, year, Graad was present at a gathering held at MandalMotors Hall in Keldabe, Mandalore's capital city, where clan chieftains and other important Mandalorians were in attendance. Graad, a supporter of the kadikla philosophy, voiced his opinion that the focus should be on the restoration of Mandalore following the damage incurred during the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, which had occurred over a decade earlier, rather than the conflict between the Galactic Alliance and the Confederation. His passionate appeal influenced Mand'alor Boba Fett to issue a recall for two million Mandalorians scattered throughout the galaxy to return to Mandalore, and to allocate financial resources to the reconstruction endeavors.

Biography

By the time of the Second Galactic Civil War, Graad, a male Human Mandalorian, made his home on the world of Mandalore, situated in the Outer Rim. In the year 40 ABY, Graad participated in a meeting held at MandalMotors Hall, a structure in Mandalore's capital city of Keldabe. He joined numerous clan chieftains, leaders of Mandalorian companies, and other prominent Mandalorian soldiers to discuss the state of Mandalore with Mand'alor Boba Fett and determine its role in the emerging conflict between the Galactic Alliance and the Confederation. Graad, who questioned Fett's leadership abilities as Mand'alor, challenged Fett's decision to declare Mandalore neutral in the war, while still allowing individuals to engage in mercenary activities. Graad argued that such a decision could lead to division and Mandalorian-against-Mandalorian conflict, which would hinder the restoration of Mandalore following the damage incurred during the war with the Yuuzhan Vong over a decade prior.

Despite Baltan Carid's opposition to his criticisms, Graad's arguments influenced the Mand'alor. Fett, at Graad's urging, decided to summon two million Mandalorians from across the galaxy to Mandalore to replenish the population that had been decimated by the Yuuzhan Vong's attack and to repair the ongoing damage. Fett also committed financial resources, matched by contributions from the MandalMotors company. In the following months, Graad's aspirations were realized as Mandalorians returned to Mandalore from all over the Outer Rim. They discovered a new deposit of beskar iron near Enceri, revitalized abandoned farms that had been neglected since the battle with the Yuuzhan Vong, and restored the planet's population to pre-war levels.

Personality and traits

Graad held a critical view of Boba Fett's position as Mand'alor, doubting that the bounty hunter was the ideal choice for the role at that particular juncture. Moreover, he was a strong supporter of kadikla, a nationalist Mandalorian movement spearheaded by Venku Skirata, also known as Kad'ika. This movement emphasized the importance of establishing the Mandalore sector as a robust and secure power base, granting Mandalorians the autonomy to choose their battles rather than relying on external mercenary contracts for their livelihood. He was known to launch into extended speeches promoting the benefits of kadikla and was prepared to engage in vigorous debates with his fellow Mandalorians, including the Mand'alor, the traditional leader of all Mandalorian clans, even using sarcasm to emphasize his points during disagreements.

Graad was of average height and build. He spoke Mando'a, the Mandalorian language, and Galactic Basic Standard with an accent that blended Coruscanti and Keldabe inflections. His Mandalorian armor was primarily colored purple and black, with a light metallic brown left shoulder plate.
