The Gran Protectorate Act is legislation that the Galactic Republic's Galactic Senate enacted in response to the brutal colonization of the planet Malastare by the Gran species. This law permitted the Gran to establish settlements on the eastern part of the planet, which led to the displacement of the native Dug inhabitants to the western part of the world.
The Fantasy Flight Games published Special Modifications, a 2016 Star Wars Roleplaying supplement, was the first place the Gran Protectorate Act was brought up. This act initially appeared within the Star Wars Legends continuity, specifically in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, authored by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace.
