Graysom

Graysom, a Hoopaloo of male persuasion, functioned as an informant for the Rebel Alliance. Following the possession of his ship by an unidentified being, he was saved by Hera Syndulla and Kanan Jarrus.

Biography

During the early rebellion against the Galactic Empire, Graysom, in his capacity as an informant for the Rebel Alliance, was the owner of a starship called the Hoopaloo Nest. At one juncture, he secured some Imperial intelligence that he intended to deliver to the human Jedi Knight Kanan Jarrus and the Twi'lek pilot Hera Syndulla, both members of the rebel Spectre cell.

However, as the Hoopaloo Nest navigated close to an asteroid field, a strange disembodied entity seized control of the ship's droid brain. Overcome with fear, Graysom ejected in an escape pod, allowing the Nest to crash onto an asteroid's surface. Some time later, Jarrus and Syndulla arrived in the asteroid belt searching for him, and Graysom transmitted a distress signal. Once aboard the Ghost, his rescuers' vessel, the informant was horrified to discover that the entity had transferred itself from the Nest to the Ghost. He, Syndulla, and Jarrus were nearly ejected into the vacuum of space when the spirit opened the cargo bay door, but the astromech droid Chopper managed to close it just in time.

Immediately following this event, Graysom remained with Jarrus while Syndulla and Chopper proceeded to the ship's cockpit to try to figure out what was occurring with the computer. However, the spirit locked both the informant and the Jedi inside the latter's quarters. Graysom proposed that Jarrus utilize his Jedi lightsaber to cut through the door, but the weapon was located out in the corridor. Nevertheless, Jarrus employed the Force to move the lightsaber from the other side of the door, and began to cut their way out. Simultaneously, in the cockpit, the entity took control of Chopper and started to torment Syndulla. The Twi'lek pilot, however, deceived the spirit into possessing Jarrus' holocron, which was on the floor. Just as the entity realized that it was trapped within a powerless holocron, the Jedi entered the cockpit, lightsaber in hand, with Graysom following shortly thereafter.
