The Great Seal, a sizable golden disc, was crafted long ago by the Aleena to represent the division between their race and the Kindalo. Positioned conspicuously on Aleen, it served to demarcate the surface from the Underworld. The actual effectiveness of this artifact was debated among scholars, given the numerous entrances to the Underworld scattered across the planet. Certain scholars posited that the Force was embedded within the Great Seal, preventing the blending of the two environments through supernatural means. At the location of the Great Seal, the Jedi Order constructed a chapter house, which was deserted well before the Clone Wars commenced. The Seal was disrupted during the conflict, reigniting the war between the Aleena and the Kindalo, which prompted the Galactic Republic to intervene and restore the Seal.
The Great Seal, a massive golden plate, was adorned with elaborate engravings. These carvings depicted three Aleena figures amidst foliage, with one of them wearing a diadem. Below a band that split the disc, there were depictions of roots, insects, and what appeared to be steps leading down into the subterranean realm.
