Grelli Cryko, hailing from the planet of Li-Toran, was a Melitto. In the year 9 BBY, Cryko was enjoying a drink inside a saloon located in the Mos Eisley spaceport on the desert world of Tatooine. During Cryko's visit, three Imperial Inquisitors made their entrance into the establishment, searching for the Jedi named Nari. They successfully drew Nari out of his concealed location by threatening the saloon owner, prompting Nari to then escape from the saloon.
A Melitto originating from the planet Li-Toran, Grelli Cryko spent time on the desert planet of Tatooine during the reign of the Galactic Empire. In 9 BBY, Cryko was sitting at a table, drink in hand, inside a saloon within Mos Eisley spaceport, when a trio of Imperial Inquisitors entered the premises. The Melitto remained seated as [the Grand Inquisitor](/article/the_grand_inquisitor], the leader of the group, questioned the saloon owner about rumors of a Jedi hiding within the building.

Subsequently, the Inquisitor known as the Third Sister hurled a knife towards the owner, compelling the Jedi fugitive Nari to reveal his presence among the patrons when he employed the Force to stop the weapon in its path. Having located their target, the Inquisitors moved in, but after the Grand Inquisitor prevented the Third Sister from executing Nari, the Jedi made his escape from the saloon, with the Imperials in pursuit, leaving Cryko and the other patrons where they were. Cryko later walked past Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Jedi who was in hiding, while carrying a container outside a checkpoint at Mos Eisley spaceport.
While present in Mos Eisley, Cryko was seen wearing a gray hooded jacket complemented by a yellow chestpiece and black gloves. Tubes connected the chestpiece to Cryko's face, and the chestpiece itself had a pair of white cylinders attached to its back. When passing Kenobi, the Melitto was carrying a flat, gray case.
Grelli Cryko made an appearance in the first episode of the Obi-Wan Kenobi television series, which was broadcast on May 26, 2022. During the production phase, the character was simply referred to as Melitto and was primarily portrayed by Greg Kufera. However, Rory Ross also took on the role for several additional days of filming when Kufera was unavailable due to his involvement in the The Book of Boba Fett television series. The character's identity was not revealed in the series itself but was later identified on a card included in the 2023 Topps Disney Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi set, which was released by The Topps Company, Inc. in 2023.
