While positioned at the Resistance base located on D'Qar during 34 ABY, Guich communicated Admiral Ushos O. Statura's directive, granting Commander Poe Dameron complete permission to proceed with the attack targeting Starkiller Base.
Jeffery Kissoon plays Guich in the motion picture Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens. The movie credits list his rank as rear admiral, a discrepancy since he is seen wearing army captain insignia in the film. This mistake regarding his rank was later addressed in Poe Dameron: Flight Log.
