Hachi, a human mercenary working for the Scarabi, spearheaded a Scarabi operation to kidnap Mon Mothma, the leader of the Rebel Alliance, from the planet Uveron. Hachi and her squad successfully abducted Mothma while she was remotely participating in the trial of Lando Calrissian at that time. The Scarabi then communicated that they would return Mothma in exchange for a substantial sum, prior to contacting other factions, including the Galactic Empire. Calrissian, having previously negotiated with the Scarabi, identified Hachi's voice during Mothma's abduction.
During Mothma's captivity by the Scarabi, Hachi engaged her in conversation, questioning her reasons for joining the Rebel Alliance. After hearing Mothma's explanation, Hachi started to contemplate that kidnapping Mothma might have been an error. However, before she could conclude her thoughts, another Scarabi mercenary fatally shot and killed her.
