Haka Hai was a crime lord of the Ishi Tib species, who maintained a base located on Mimban. The Gotal named Lumbra was in Hai's employ.
Previously, Hai had a connection with Schurk-Heren, the captain of the vessel known as the Uhumele. Hai consented to purchase a certain piece of mysterious and valuable cargo that the Uhumele was transporting.
Nevertheless, Hai betrayed Schurk-Heren, choosing to seize the cargo through violent means. However, at that precise moment, Lumbra turned against his employer, and a gun battle erupted. Following Lumbra and his team's successful escape with the cargo, not knowing that they were actually carrying a decoy, Hai imprisoned the Uhumele's crew. Having figured out that Lumbra had absconded with the counterfeit cargo, Hai subjected Schurk-Heren and subsequently Bomo Greenbark to torture in an attempt to uncover the genuine cargo's whereabouts.
However, Hai misjudged Bomo's capabilities, and the Nosaurian was able to escape after being left without supervision. Aided by Crys Taanzer, Bomo devised a scheme to ensnare Hai's forces at his compound. In the ensuing conflict, Bomo eliminated all of Hai's subordinates, including Hai himself.
