Bomo Greenbark, hailing from New Plympto, was a male Nosaurian who chose to serve the Separatists as a scout. During the Clone Wars, he actively opposed the forces of the Galactic Republic. A characteristic ability of Nosaurians like Greenbark was the generation of a luminous flash from their mouth.
Following the implementation of Order 66, Greenbark crossed paths with Jedi Master Dass Jennir, a survivor of the betrayal by his own troops. Greenbark explained to Jennir that the Nosaurians aligned with the Separatists due to their promise to revitalize the market for New Plympto's primary export, rikknit eggs. Seeking to evade the [clone troopers](/article/clone_trooper-legends] together, Greenbark and Jennir ventured into the jungle to find Greenbark's comrades, but Jennir was captured soon after their arrival.
After a discussion with General Rootrock, Jennir received permission to live and a ship to travel to Coruscant. Jennir returned to New Plympto soon after to fight against Imperial occupying forces. After a month of constant defeats, the Nosaurian rebels made their final stand at the Battle of Half-Axe Pass.

Before the battle commenced, Greenbark bid farewell to his wife Mesa and daughter Resa as they departed with other refugees for Sullust. Entering the battle, Greenbark only found General Jennir, as the other commanders had met their death. They pushed forward, trying to buy time for the refugees to escape, but the stormtroopers had superior firepower. A stray blast from an attacking tank created a hole in the ground, trapping Greenbark and Jennir underground until the battle concluded.
After freeing themselves, they discovered the rest of their army had been slain by the Imperials. Now alone, they decided to head to the spaceport at Cadgel Meadows in search of Bomo's family. They unsuccessfully attempted to hijack the smuggling vessel Uhumele. However, the ship's captain, Schurk-Heren, sympathized with their situation and informed them that the refugees had been taken into Imperial custody, destined for slavery on Orvax IV.
Upon arrival, Bomo found that his daughter had been sold, and his wife had been killed by the guards for trying to save Resa. He soon departed, leaving Jennir to investigate who purchased Resa. He confronted the slaver who sold her—a Chagrian named Orso Meeto. After obtaining the necessary information, Jennir fatally shot Meeto in the head, killing him. The guards pursued Jennir, but he managed to escape. The Uhumele then embarked on a mission to locate Resa.
Arriving at Calamar, Esseles, the crew of the Uhumele set out to rescue Resa but they soon discovered that she had been killed and eaten by the man who had bought her named Dezono Qua. Upon hearing this, Jennir fatally shot Qua, leading Greenbark to become enraged at Jennir for depriving him of his revenge. Greenbark revealed Jennir's Jedi identity to the crew. Greenbark then departed with the Uhumele crew, leaving Jennir behind.
With his family gone and no home to return to, Bomo became a permanent member of the Uhumele crew. After adjusting to life on the ship, Bomo integrated well with the crew. However, during a delivery to the pirate Haka Hai, Hai's second-in-command, Lumbra stole the crate and fled. Hai soon realized the crate was a fake and the real treasure was elsewhere. He planned to torture the crew to reveal its location. To protect Crys and Meekerdin-maa, Bomo falsely claimed to know its location.

During Bomo's torture, his small size prevented Hai's thugs from securing his legs. He feigned unconsciousness. Planning to resume interrogation later, Haka and the torturers left. Bomo then broke free by breaking the chains over one of his horns. When Haka returned, he found Bomo had escaped. Assuming he fled into the swamp, Hai and his thugs left the compound, unaware he was hiding in a box.
While running through the halls, Bomo encountered Crys, a crewmate forced to work as a waitress. Knowing Hai would return soon, they went to the armory for weapons. A remaining thug spotted them and began strangling Bomo. He urged Crys to shoot the thug, which she reluctantly did. Stunned, she said she had never killed anyone before. Bomo said there was no time to worry about that and they used the thug's grenades to blow the door, alerting Hai. Bomo armed himself and freed the ship's main engineer Ratty. He set up grenades to surprise Hai. He almost shot Crys, who wanted to help despite being told to get to the ship. After a fierce battle, Greenbark killed every pirate, including Hai. He and the crew then left Mimban.
Three weeks later in the Expansion Region, Bomo demanded to know what was in the real crate. Heren revealed it, as they were planning to sell it soon. Inside was the Jebble Box, an object fought over for centuries. Due to the death it caused, Heren wanted to get rid of it. He planned to trade it to Fane Peturri, a historian with no underworld connections, on Aridus. Bomo was skeptical, but Heren assured him Peturri was on their side. They arrived and greeted Peturri, who was an agent of the Empire and Darth Vader. Bomo glared at Heren for being tricked, as the crew was captured and their cargo taken. They overheard Peturri researching the Box, calling it Dreypa's Oubliette and saying it contained the Muur Talisman, a Sith artifact holding the spirit of [Karness Muur](/article/karness_muur], capable of creating rakghouls. Vader opened the Oubliette, revealing a young woman in stasis. When she learned the Sith had taken over the Galaxy, the crew witnessed the duel between Vader and the ancient Jedi.
Following the Muur Talisman incident, Bomo and the crew sought refuge on Kidron. They mourned the loss of Crys. Heren blamed himself, and Bomo felt helpless, still grieving his family's death and facing new setbacks. He regretted sending Jennir away and wished the Jedi were there. During their time on Kidron, Bomo and his comrades met a Verpine Jedi named Beyghor Sahdett, who was also searching for Jennir. Bomo and his comrades now had a new mission: to support Sahdett and find their old friend.
This quest led them to Vondarc after receiving information from a man named Fish who knew Jennir's location. There, the crew arrived on the planet, which was under Imperial control, and found Jennir.
Eventually, the Uhumele crew plotted to assassinate Darth Vader to weaken the Empire. However, after seeing Jennir and Meekerdin-maa secretly working on the Uhumele's engines, Bomo confronted his old friend and voiced his suspicions.
On the day of the assassination attempt, Bomo alerted Jennir to Vader's arrival. Jennir then ordered Bomo to leave to the Uhumele, as well as to tell them not to spare the engines for the Jedi.
Bomo Greenbark was introduced in the ninth volume of the Star Wars: Republic comic series and later became a recurring character in the Star Wars: Dark Times comic series.
