Orvax IV

Orvax IV, located in the Outer Rim Territories, was a planet known for its involvement in the slave trade. It served as a holding place, where slaves were kept in underground dungeons before being traded to different owners. The slave traders themselves resided in the elevated sections of the cities. The T'surr species provided security personnel for the planet's slave operations.

History

Slave market on Orvax IV.

Kilindi, a Nautolan who, like Maul, was a cadet at the Orsis Academy, was assumed by Maul to have originated from Glee Anselm, her species' homeworld. However, she revealed that she had been a slave on Orvax IV. She escaped after killing the family that owned her, an act that garnered the attention of Trezza.

In the aftermath of the Battle of Half-Axe Pass, the Empire chose Orvax IV as the destination for the deportation of captured Nosaurian women and children. Upon learning of this during a debriefing with the 501st Legion, Darth Vader was saddened by the news, a consequence of his own history as a slave on Tatooine. Dass Jennir and the crew of the Uhumele mounted a rescue attempt to save Bomo Greenbark's family, but they discovered that his wife, Mesa, had been killed, and his daughter, [Resa](/article/resa_greenbark], had been sold to Dezono Qua on Esseles, effectively sealing her fate, as Qua was known to regularly consume child slaves.

Droopy McCool was purchased on this very planet by Evar Orbus, who then gave him the name "Snit".

Behind the scenes

A mistake in The Essential Atlas Online Companion's Outer Rim map places Orvax IV in the Savareen sector by accident.
