Mesa Greenbark, a Nosaurian of the female gender, entered into matrimony with Bomo Greenbark. Bomo was a commander within the New Plympto resistance, a group that stood in opposition to the Galactic Empire. Together with Bomo, she bore a daughter, whom they named Resa. Following the declaration of the New Order, the Empire's governing system, she and her offspring sought to flee their homeworld to avoid the Empire's military. While her spouse and the remaining resistance engaged in a decisive confrontation at Half-Axe Pass, Mesa and Resa endeavored to reach a spaceport situated in Cadgel Meadows. Unfortunately, Imperial forces apprehended them before they could arrive. The fleeing individuals were enslaved and transported to the planet Orvax IV, where Mesa met her death while trying to prevent the sale of her daughter.
Mesa Greenbark resided on the planet of New Plympto, found within the Corellian sector of the Core Worlds. This planet was the original homeworld of her species. Mesa wed another Nosaurian, Bomo Greenbark, and together they had a daughter, named Resa. As the Clone Wars erupted between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the Nosaurians sided with the Confederacy, battling Republic forces on their homeworld. After the Confederacy's defeat in 19 BBY, the New Plympto resistance became one of the last Separatist holdouts, continuing their fight against the newly established Galactic Empire in a conflict known as the Cleansing of New Plympto.
Approximately a month after the declaration of the New Order, the Empire's political system, the Nosaurians initiated the evacuation of their women and children from New Plympto, including Resa and Mesa. While the male Nosaurians continued to resist the Empire in the area of Half-Axe Pass, Bomo personally escorted his family and other evacuees to the transports intended for their escape. Before boarding, Mesa and Resa pleaded with Bomo to join them, but upon his refusal, they bid him a final farewell and entered the last available vehicle. With the final passengers aboard the transports, the journey to the spaceport in Cadgel Meadows began, where Mesa and Resa planned to find transport to the planet Sullust, located in the Brema sector of the Outer Rim Territories.
However, the transports never made it to Cadgel Meadows. Instead, Imperial forces intercepted them. All Nosaurians on board, including Mesa and her daughter, were captured and taken off-world to be sold into slavery. The Imperials transported them to Orvax IV, a planet known for its slave trade, intending to sell them to the highest bidder. When slavers attempted to take Resa for sale, Mesa tried to stop them, fighting to prevent her daughter's separation. Her efforts were unsuccessful, and Mesa was killed in her attempt to save her daughter.
Despite Mesa's efforts, Resa was taken and sold by a Chagrian slaver named Orso Meeto to the Human Dezono Qua. The day after Mesa's death, her husband arrived to rescue her, only to be devastated by the discovery that he was too late. Bomo then set out to find Resa, but again he failed to save his family, as Qua had cooked and eaten her. This act led Bomo's friend Dass Jennir, a Jedi, to kill Qua.
Mesa Greenbark made an appearance in the Star Wars: Dark Times comic book series.
