Hakara

Hakara served as a battleground during the Clone Wars. During this conflict, General Grievous gave the order for over 26,000 B1-series battle droids to be produced at the Akiva production plant. This factory resided on the Outer Rim planet of Akiva. Chief supervisor Poreni oversaw this production, and the droids were subsequently deployed to Hakara. However, these B1 battle droids performed poorly in combat, with less than 5% surviving encounters with Republic forces. Poreni spoke with the droid C-5DS at the plant to discuss the performance of the droids. As a result of the substandard performance, Poreni issued an apology and proposed a 20% price reduction on the next batch of B1 battle droids, in addition to a pledge to enhance their effectiveness. C-5DS accepted the discount and placed an advance order for 12,000 BX-series droid commando units.

In the year 3 ABY, the scoundrel known as Kay Vess came across four communications exchanged between Poreni and C-5DS.
