Hestria, situated in the Senex sector, was an agriworld in the Mid Rim known for its production of wines. In approximately 3643 BBY, the government of Hestria disbanded its secret police force, which had been attempting to manipulate the governments of all planets within the Hestria system.
Within the Hestria system, a part of the Senex-Juvex region found in the Western Reaches of the Mid Rim, lay the flourishing agriworld of Hestria, situated in the Senex sector. Hyperlanes connected it to the Angratha, Kedorzha, and Simoom systems. This world was famous for its wines, including the notable Hestrian wine.
Around 3643 BBY, the government of Hestria oversaw a secret police force infamous for its corruption and attempts to control the governments of all the planets in the system of Hestria. In that year, the government of Hestria eliminated this police force. Subsequently, an individual involved in the ongoing struggle between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire dispatched an associate to investigate the force's confidential files before their destruction by the government, a task the associate successfully completed.
Following the settlement of Senex-Juvex around 1000 BBY by a group of affluent inhabitants of the Core Worlds under the leadership of Thull Vandron, Hestria, along with the other planets in the area, fell under the dominion of the aristocratic Ancient Houses that ultimately governed the region.
Hestria first appeared in The Essential Atlas, a 2009 reference book by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, where it was located in grid square L-18. The planet was later referenced in an Investigation Crew Skill mission within Star Wars: The Old Republic, a video game developed by BioWare in 2011, although information regarding the mission's outcome was subsequently removed from the game.
