The Borgin family constituted one of Serenno's seven noble families, and their emblem was displayed within the Great Assembly House situated in Carannia. Eson belonged to this lineage. The house's designation was the same as Borgin Castle, which was located on Serenno.
The initial appearance of House Borgin in the current Star Wars canon occurred in the 2019 audiobook titled Dooku: Jedi Lost, authored by Cavan Scott. Within the Star Wars Legends timeline, the Borgin family was initially referenced in the debut edition of the Hard Targets narrative arc, featured in the Star Wars: Agent of the Empire comic book series, penned by John Ostrander.
