Hrym Mawarr

Hrym Mawarr was a Skakoan male who operated as both a politician and a bounty hunter. In the year 43 ABY, Galactic Alliance Chief of State Natasi Daala employed him to work alongside Captain Savar's Security personnel in order to take Jedi Grand Master Luke Skywalker into custody for neglect of duty, though the Jedi was freed not long after. Later, Daala engaged Mawarr to seize Jedi Knight Valin Horn, who was experiencing psychotic episodes, as the Knight went on a violent spree throughout Coruscant. Skywalker, however, successfully subdued Horn.

Biography

Hrym Mawarr was hired by Natasi Daala to capture Valin Horn (pictured) while on Coruscant.

Hrym Mawarr, a male Skakoan, gained his livelihood through two professions: as a politician and as a bounty hunter. He was known to alternate between periods of bounty hunting and serving as an elected law enforcement official in his home system for several years at a time. In 43.5 ABY, Mawarr, along with Dhidal Nyz and Zilaash Kuh, two other bounty hunters, was contracted by Galactic Alliance Chief of State Natasi Daala to join her special-missions force. This force was intended to assist Galactic Alliance Security troops in the arrest of Jedi Grand Master Luke Skywalker, who was deemed responsible for failing to prevent Darth Caedus' descent into the dark side of the Force. Mawarr, Nyz, Kuh, and other bounty hunters employed by Daala accompanied the Security forces, led by Security Captain Savar, during the operation. They successfully apprehended Skywalker outside the Senate Building on Coruscant, though the Jedi was subsequently released.

Shortly thereafter, Jedi Knight Valin Horn experienced a psychotic breakdown and embarked on a destructive rampage through Coruscant's business district. Mawarr was among the numerous bounty hunters Daala once again hired for her special-missions force to try and capture the rogue Jedi. However, he was unsuccessful in this endeavor, as Skywalker managed to subdue Horn, who was then admitted to the Mon Mothma Memorial Medical Center.

Personality and traits

Despite his extensive experience of several decades as a bounty hunter, Mawarr also held the position of a politician, having been elected to law enforcement roles in his home system on multiple occasions. These dual occupations contributed to Mawarr's widespread recognition throughout the galaxy.

Equipment

When venturing off-world, Mawarr donned a bronze pressure suit because Skakoans are unable to survive in low-pressure atmospheres. During his pursuit of Horn, he utilized a large, green airspeeder for transportation.

Behind the scenes

Mawarr made an appearance in Fate of the Jedi: Outcast, a 2009 novel written by Aaron Allston, which served as the inaugural book in the nine-part Fate of the Jedi series.
