Imperial Facility 729-D

Facility 729-D of the Imperial Forces was a space station operated by the Galactic Empire. Its location was a secret, situated within the Inner Rim region of the galaxy. The station's design featured a hexagonal shape, and its central feature was a hangar bay. This bay served as the home for the Star Courier known as the Scimitar, a starship that was the property of Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine. Stormtroopers provided security and support for the hangar operations.

Soon after he learned of the theft of his personal yacht, named the Imperialis, Palpatine reached out to Chanath Cha. Cha was a reliable bounty hunter at the time located on Amethia Prime, a world in the Inner Rim. Palpatine tasked Cha with finding the stolen vessel. To aid in this mission, he arranged for Cha to meet with Imperial Facility 729-D to take command of the Scimitar. Upon arriving at the facility, Cha was met by pilot droid O-66 and given the Scimitar. The bounty hunter then used the ship to successfully track down the stolen Imperialis shortly thereafter.
