Lando #3 represents the third installment of the five-part comic book miniseries titled Star Wars: Lando. Charles Soule penned the script, Alex Maleev provided the illustrations, and Marvel Comics released it to the public on August 26, 2015.
Lobot begins to ramble incoherently, suffering from the trauma of being impaled, as his implants seize control of his consciousness. While Lando Calrissian and the Ugnaught Korin Pers escort the injured Lobot to the medical bay, the twins Aleksin and Pavol engage in close-quarters combat with the two Emperor's Royal Guards stationed at the Imperialis's central chamber. At Imperial Facility 729-D, located in the Inner Rim, the bounty hunter Chanath Cha boards the Scimitar, a modified Star Courier. The droid O-66 guides Chanath on a tour of the ship. At blaster-point, Chanath coerces 0-66 into divulging information regarding the ship's operational systems.
As Lobot is healing inside a bacta tank, Korin informs Lando that they had encountered the Emperor's Royal Guards, his highly skilled protectors. Based on the presence of the two guards and the lavish treasures aboard, Korin infers that they had stolen the Emperor's luxury yacht. She tells him that he killed them all but Calrissian doesn't want to talk about it. While the twins are fighting, Chanath departs aboard the Scimitar with the head of O-66. Even though he has been decapitated, O-66 continues to converse with Chanath and assures her that the Scimitar possesses the ability to track a ship's trajectory through hyperspace, a feat generally deemed impossible. After locking onto the Imperialis's signature, Chanath pilots the Scimitar into hyperspace.
Before returning to the central chamber, Lando and Korin procure some blasters from the ship's armory. Fortunately, they discover that the twins have successfully defeated both Imperial guards. Korin removes the helmets from the guards and discovers that they have been corrupted by the dark side. Upon entering the vault, they find that the chamber contained a Sith helmet. Korin clarifies that the Jedi and Sith were adversaries. Lando believes that the Sith helmet will fetch a high price on the black market and considers it suitable compensation for Korin's lost eye. He asks if they are now set for life.
