The 97th Legion, alternatively known as the Imperial Ninety-Seventh Stormtrooper Legion, functioned as a legion of stormtroopers within the Imperial forces throughout the Galactic Civil War. Tasked with maintaining control on Sullust, this legion combatted both the Sullustan resistance and the Cobalt Laborers' Reformation Front. SP-475 served within its ranks, operating under the leadership of SP-113. The Siege of Inyusu Tor witnessed the legion suffering significant casualties when facing the Rebel Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry.
Behind the scenes
The Imperial Ninety-Seventh Stormtrooper Legion made its initial appearance in Battlefront: Twilight Company, a canon novel penned by Alexander Freed in 2015. Regarding Star Wars: Unlimited, the 97th Legion card was conceived to be a distinctive card capable of increasing in strength. The 97th Legion card, in its design, is neither heroic nor villainous, even though the Empire typically "skewing heavily villain."
