The Imperial Police Droid shared a visual resemblance with the BX-series droid commandos employed by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. This police droid model saw service after the Galactic Republic was reorganized into the Galactic Empire following its formation in that time. These droids were deployed on Corellia at a decommissioning facility where Separatist battle droids were being dismantled. At this facility, the police droids maintained security by patrolling with rotating quadrant scans.
In 19 BBY, Clone Force 99's former clone commandos and the Martez sisters infiltrated the facility. Their objective was to recover the head of a decommissioned T-series tactical droid to access its valuable intelligence. A short conflict between the two groups triggered a facility lockdown. The police droids moved in on the intruders, who ultimately used the tactical droid to reactivate the battle droids. As the reactivated battle droids began eliminating the police droids, the clone troopers and the Martez sisters made their escape.
