Implacable (Acclamator-class)
The Implacable functioned as an Acclamator-class transgalactic military assault ship within the Republic Navy during the Clone Wars. This conflict, spanning from 22 BBY to 19 BBY, involved combat between the Galactic Republic and the Separatist Alliance. This vessel, the Implacable, was outfitted with both sublight engines and a deflector shield generator.
During the Clone Wars period, the Implacable was subjected to intense laser fire from ground-based enemies while operating within the atmosphere of a rocky, desert planet. Two LAAT/i gunships were in proximity at that time. The enemy lasers caused several explosions on the assault ship, resulting in a large amount of smoke in the surrounding area. As a typical Acclamator-class vessel, the Implacable had dimensions of 752 meters in length, 460 meters in width, and 183 meters in height.
Behind the scenes
The Implacable entered Star Wars canon in "Protect the Republic," an article published on July 31, 2020. This article announced the Galactic Republic Fleet Starter, an expansion for the Star Wars: Armada miniatures game produced by Fantasy Flight Games. This expansion was released on December 4 of the same year. Within the game, the Implacable card is available for use by the Galactic Republic faction. The card allows a player to spend 2 shield points from the front hull zone to reduce damage by that amount before a friendly starship or squadron at distance 1-2 suffers damage from an opponent's attack.
The Implacable initially appeared within the Star Wars Legends continuity. Specifically, it was featured in Republic Commando: Hard Contact, a novel written by Karen Traviss in 2004. Later, it was depicted as a miniature game piece for the Ground Assault expansion pack of the Star Wars PocketModel TCG, which WizKids Games released in 2007.
