The Intrepid, a CR90 corvette, served the Rebel Alliance throughout the Galactic Civil War. A Rebel ambassador used it as their consular vessel, traveling to an Airam Platform on a diplomatic mission to gain the backing of the Airam. During Operation: Clean Sweep, however, the Galactic Empire dispatched a strike force to intercept, disable, and board the Intrepid, with the aim of capturing the ambassador.
Before the establishment of the Imperial Task Force Vengeance, this event transpired and could be interpreted as a preliminary stage, or perhaps the initial move, in the clashing Imperial and Rebel Alliance operations within the Airam sector.
The space battle portrayed in this mission, along with those involved, is considered C-Canon; however, the final result is determined by the player's choices, making it uncertain. In the absence of additional canonical details, it is best to assume that the battle did not lead to any permanent consequences, such as the annihilation of the station or any starships.
