A family of impoverished status belonged to the Chiss Ascendancy. Certain individuals within this family resided in the Oyokal farming community, which is also the place where a Chiss female came into this world, later known as Xodlak'in'daro. This Chiss enlisted in the Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet and underwent rematching to become part of the distinguished Xodlak family of the Great, specifically as a merit adoptive. This resulted in her acquisition of the name Xodlak'in'daro, along with the core name "Lakinda."
Following the Hoxim incident, the Patriarch of the Xodlak family reprimanded Lakinda because she was unsuccessful in her task of acquiring the alleged reserves of the valuable metal nyix for the benefit of the family. Lakinda was concerned about the possibility of being removed from the Xodlak family and returned through rematching to her original family in the Oyokal farming community. However, she was instead presented with an opportunity to become affiliated with the Irizi family of the Nine Ruling Families' as a Trial-born. Lakinda decided to accept the position with the Irizi, which led to her becoming Irizi'in'daro and taking on the core name "Ziinda."
This family received a mention in the novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Greater Good, which was released in 2021. This novel represents the second book in Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy by Timothy Zahn.
