The Ironhand, a Strike-class medium cruiser of the Imperial Navy, participated in the Galactic Civil War as a component of Task Force Vengeance. Its assignment involved providing protection for a segment of the Task Force's logistical convoy. Unfortunately, Rebel A-wing fighters annihilated the convoy vessels carrying Warheads in a desperate maneuver designed to give the Rebellion more time destroyed. Following this setback, the cruiser endeavored to prevent the Rebels from capturing the Interdictor cruiser Compellor. Ultimately, X-wing and B-wing starfighters destroyed the Ironhand.
