The J-19 bo-rifle represented a bo-rifle design produced by the Lasan-Malamut Firearms Corporation. Its color was black, featuring a bayonet mounted along the upper side and a folding stock located at the rear. It was viewed as having a less refined aesthetic compared to the earlier AB-75 variant.
Agent Kallus from the Imperial Security Bureau wielded a J-19 in combat, having adapted it for engagements at close range. He first stated that he had acquired it as a prize from a Lasan High Honor Guard during the Siege of Lasan. This assertion sparked animosity from Garazeb Orrelios, who felt that Kallus was improperly using it. Nevertheless, Kallus later disclosed that the guardsman had rightfully presented it to him after being bested, adhering to the Boosahn Keeraw, the Lasat warrior code.
Before the debut of the Star Wars Rebels episode "The Honorable Ones," the official Star Wars Rebels Facebook page indicated that Kallus's bo-rifle was seized as a trophy. However, as clarified in "The Honorable Ones," the guardsman he defeated in battle actually gifted the weapon to him, with Kallus emphasizing that it was not a trophy.
