Jade Moon supply base
The supply base of the Galactic Empire was located on the Jade Moon. A DSS-02 deflector shield generator protected the facility, and it was situated within a nearby canyon. An additional structure housed cutting-edge shield technology. For defense, a squadron of TIEs was on standby, while XX-9 heavy turbolasers and missile turrets were strategically positioned around the hub. Over half a year following the Battle of Yavin, Kasan Moor, an Imperial defector, guided Rogue Squadron, the Rebel Alliance's elite squadron, in a raid targeting the supply depot. Luke Skywalker, also known as Rogue Leader, eliminated the building containing the shield technology and successfully obtained it. Following Skywalker's destruction of the shield generator, Rebel combat vehicles attacked the base to seize its resources.
Behind the scenes
This supply base is featured in the 1998 video game Star Wars: Rogue Squadron. The acquisition of the advanced technology is a requirement for achieving the gold medal in the mission, and this article is based on the assumption that the player successfully did so.
