Jaing

Jaing, of an unrecorded species, was a male Mandalorian training master who abandoned his order during the period known as the New Sith Wars.

Biography

A survivor of the Mandalorian Wars, Jaing previously served as a Neo-Crusader Shock Trooper. He lived for over two millennia following the conclusion of the Mandalorian Wars, exercising control over the remaining clans, eventually aligning himself with a group led by Ung Kusp. Considering that the Mandalorians under Kusp had forfeited their honor, Jaing struck out on his own, ultimately encountering the Gen'Dai Durge, whom he instructed in Mandalorian combat techniques and strategies.

At a later time, Jaing encountered a scientist who had engineered a distinctive armor set and sought to test it on Jaing and Durge. Jaing agreed, and both he and Durge received the armor, though not without a condition.

The scientist required protection for both himself and a rare Sith artifact that other Mandalorians coveted. Jaing pledged to provide this protection, but as he made the promise, a Mandalorian clan under Kusp breached a wall in the lab, attempting to seize the artifact.

Jaing and Durge swiftly dealt with the intruders, until one of them deployed a thermal detonator, resulting in a fatal injury to Jaing. Incensed, Durge drove off the remaining clan members, vowing to eliminate every living Mandalorian.

Unbeknownst to Durge, the scientist had meticulously orchestrated the events, informing Jaing that his scheme to instigate a war between the Mandalorians and the Sith had succeeded. As Durge departed, the scientist reassured him that Jaing could be easily revived. Jaing apparently perished soon after.

The earliest iterations of the Mandalorian skull crest sigil were inspired by Jaing's likeness. However, in contemporary times, any association between the crest and the training master has been lost, with the crest now recognized as a male mythosaur.
