Jape's Jedi Master

A Jedi Master, who was affiliated with the Jedi Order, existed during the Republic Era and focused their studies on astrophysics. Around 41 BBY, they commenced the training of a Jedi Padawan named Jape, developing a strong connection with this student. To further Jape's education, the Jedi Master escorted them to observe extraordinary cosmic events like nebulae and black holes, while also granting access to the Grand Orbital Observatory of Coruscant for research. Obi-Wan Kenobi, a friend of Jape and also a Padawan, was often envious of the relationship between the Jedi Master and their Padawan, believing their collaborative dynamic to be superior to his own with his Master, Qui-Gon Jinn.

Biography

Obi-Wan Kenobi, one of Jape's friends, envied the relationship the Jedi Master and his friend shared.

The Jedi Master was a member of the Jedi Order during the Republic Era. Their area of expertise was astrophysics, which involved the investigation of celestial phenomena throughout the galaxy. Around 41 BBY, they accepted Jape, a Force-sensitive individual, as their Padawan apprentice. The two developed a solid professional connection as Jape continued their studies at the Jedi Temple located on the Core Worlds planet of Coruscant. Jape focused on the same scholarly discipline as their Master during their apprenticeship, readily understanding the principles of astrophysics. The Jedi Master included trips to observe unique occurrences like nebulae and black holes as part of Jape's training. When they weren't traveling, the Master permitted their Padawan to dedicate time to research at the Grand Orbital Observatory of Coruscant, a facility designed for studying astronomical events.

One of the Padawan's associates, Obi-Wan Kenobi, who was also a Padawan, felt jealous of the close bond between Jape and their Master, often contrasting it with his own difficult relationship with his Jedi Master, Qui-Gon Jinn. In 41 BBY, Kenobi reflected on the Master, seeing them as a perfect match for Jape. Shortly after Kenobi embarked on a mission to the Outer Rim planet Lenahra, he continued to ponder his friend's strong connection with their Master, fearing it would weaken the friendship within their Padawan group. The following year, Kenobi remembered his peer's images of the fascinating phenomena he had seen while traveling with his Master. Kenobi thought his trips to the Archives at the Coruscant Jedi Temple's were uninteresting compared to the adventurous explorations of Jape and his Master.
