The most secure conference room in the Coruscant Jedi Temple was the Safe Room. The most confidential discussions occurred within this room, free from the risk of eavesdropping or recording.
Around 1000 BBY, the safe room was constructed inside the Jedi Temple, and the Jedi High Council utilized it for discussing highly classified matters.
During a series of robberies at the Temple in 44 BBY, Grand Master Yoda activated Emergency Code Fourteen, summoning Jedi Masters Qui-Gon Jinn and Tahl to the conference room to receive updates. Within an hour, the Healing Crystals of Fire had been stolen by an unidentified thief, and the two Jedi were assigned to locate him. Later, after it was discovered that Padawan Chun was the culprit, Yoda called Jinn back to the chamber to receive a message from his former Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi, who was then on Melida/Daan. Kenobi had left the Order to help the Young, a resistance group attempting to end the conflict that threatened the entire population. However, one of the Young's leaders, Cerasi, had died, and Kenobi required assistance. Yoda responded, and Jinn departed the Temple to assist Kenobi.
Jinn returned to the Temple with Kenobi and went to the conference chamber, where he learned that the High Council was storing a shipment of crystalline vertex for the Galactic Senate. Jinn feared that the vertex was the true target of the real mastermind behind the attacks on the Temple, the Dark Jedi Xanatos, and began planning the endgame that would lead to Xanatos' capture.
The secure chamber remained intact until the conclusion of the Clone Wars, when, in 19 BBY, the Grand Army of the Republic received orders to seize the Temple and eliminate everyone inside. The damaged chamber remained abandoned throughout the Galactic Civil War until the Lusankya disaster caused the collapse of the Temple's five towers and the complete destruction of the safe room.
The safe room, located high in Tranquillity Spire, was a circular room with no furniture or windows. The room was equipped with a highly advanced scanning system, making it completely secure from listening devices and surveillance technology. The room was sterile white and featured a state-of-the-art holoprojector that displayed life-sized, real-time images from distant worlds in the center of the chamber.
