Jendan Blyes was a male Human Mantellian Trooper. As a part of the Mantellian Army, he served the Ord Mantell Central Authority, which was backed by the Galactic Republic. He fought against the Mantellian Separatist Movement during the Separatist War.
During the Cold War, a conflict by proxy between the Republic and the Sith Empire, Jendan Blyes was a male Human serving in the Galactic Republic's army. He was a sergeant stationed on the Republic planet of Ord Mantell during the Separatist War. This was a civil war where Republic forces assisted the corrupt local government in their fight against the anti-Republic Mantellian Separatist Movement.
At one point, the Separatists launched an invasion of Drelliad village, a crucial location positioned between the Republic base known as Fort Garnik and territory controlled by the Separatists. Because of this, Blyes and his squad, part of the Thirty-first Recon, were tasked with scouting the settlement. However, they were engaged by a well-organized Separatist force near the village entrance. In the ensuing firefight, the sergeant made an attempt to contact headquarters at Fort Garnik, due to the Separatists' deployment of signal jammers within the village.
As a result, Blyes had to request that a Republic-aligned individual passing by should disable the signal jammers. This was needed to re-establish communications between his forward recon team and the other Republic forces, so they could report the situation. The individual accepted this mission, deactivated the three signal jammers, eliminated several Separatists, and then returned to the Sergeant. Blyes rewarded his rescuer with a weapon from his own supply.
While assigned to Drelliad village, Blyes was seen wearing blue armor, a matching ribbed helmet, and beige pants. This was the standard uniform for most Republic Army soldiers stationed on Ord Mantell. He carried a dark blaster rifle, which he kept strapped to his back when not actively using it.
Blyes appears as a non-player character in Star Wars: The Old Republic, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by BioWare and released in 2011. Nolan North provides his voice. He is among the first NPCs that players of the Trooper or Smuggler classes will encounter. This is because of his location near the starting point for each of those classes. Characters of the Imperial faction cannot interact with Blyes, as there is no current way for Imperial characters to travel to Ord Mantell.
