Jerrid Squadron was a sizable Squadron of R-41 Starchaser fighter craft. This squadron was established by Airam Pirates in the time of the Galactic Civil War. This squadron, in conjunction with T-Wings from Claw Squadron, took part in a pirate raid targeting an Imperial Convoy. The Empire strategically "leaked" this convoy information to the Airams, hoping to ensnare more Airam members and locate their hidden base. Although Jerrid Squadron successfully neutralized the convoy, Claw Squadron, tasked with fighter support, was overwhelmed by Imperial fighters, notably Avenger Squadron. These Imperial forces then assaulted the main pirate vessels, compelling them to either power down and surrender or face annihilation. The R-41 fighters tried to engage the stormtrooper transports and strike the Star Destroyer named Rage. They misjudged the Imperials' determination, likely resulting in their destruction, and their freighters, intended to seize the Convoy, were instead captured by the Empire's Stormtrooper tranpsorts.
