Kad Solus, a Mandalorian who began life as a foundling, became the second-in-command under Chieftain Vera Beroya of Clan Awaud. Beroya commanded a battalion of Mandalorian warriors. Born into slavery, Kad was the property of the Thalassian Nok. Mandalorians intervened, unknowingly walking into Nok's trap. Kad's warning about the impending ambush led to his adoption by Avin Solus, who raised him as his own son.
Later, during the Age of the Empire, Kad Solus took to the skies as a pilot of a Fang fighter.
