A female E'roni human named Kala resided in the village of U'ronoh on the planet E'ronoh during the age known as the High Republic Era. During visits to her world, she engaged in conversation with adherents of the Force religion known as the Path of the Open Hand.
In the year 382 BBY, Kala happened to listen in on a discussion between U'ronoh Marshal Iana Percei and Jedi Knight Gella Nattai regarding the role of the Jedi. She then interrupted to voice disapproval of the concept of fighting to achieve peace. Percei apologized for Kala's negativity after Nattai was surprised by her words. Kala then furthered the conversation by accusing the Jedi of "changing things." Nattai, perplexed, requested clarification, but Percei instead scolded Kala. After Nattai again asked for clarification, Percei sighed and explained that Kala was simply repeating the words of Path members from the Dalnan system. This encounter left Nattai with a feeling of unease. Kala's physical features included startled eyes, hair styled in a tight braid, and a pinched, embittered expression.
Zoraida Córdova included Kala in her 2022 novel, Convergence, which was a contribution to Phase II of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia initiative.
