The cell of Brenn Tantor surrounded by the Kalaan defectors.
For the majority of the Galactic Civil War, a group of ten stormtroopers served under General Brenn Tantor, and were known as the Kalaan defectors. Their loyalty to the commander who had guided them through countless battles was immense, so they were greatly disturbed when he was imprisoned on Kalaan for his refusal to kill civilians, an order he wouldn't obey. A grave mistake was made when Grand General Malcor Brashin assigned them to guard Tantor in his open-air cell. One of the stormtroopers, Gana Lant, successfully swayed the other nine to liberate Tantor.
After freed Tantor, the stormtroopers absconded with the TR-MB prototype and launched an assault on the prison, which resulted in the freeing of Luke Skywalker. The group journeyed through Kalaan's canyons, gathering support from the Kalaanite resistance along the way, until they reached a Rebel base established by Tyr Taskeen. From that location, they were transported to Taskeen's fleet, where it is believed they were temporarily incarcerated alongside their general. Upon their release, they likely continued their service to the Rebellion as infantry under the command of Tantor.
