Kandhar

Kandhar, a Devaronian male pirate, commanded a faction within the White Maw, a pirate organization with its base on the planet of Hoth. He sided with the Sith Empire during the Battle of Hoth, which occurred early in the Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the aforementioned Empire, hoping to seize control of the White Maw.

Biography

Kandhar, a Devaronian male, was a pirate affiliated with the White Maw, a gang of pirates operating from the ice planet of Hoth. By 3642 BBY (according to the standard year calendar), he was the leader of his own group within the White Maw and a rival to Shai Tenna, a Weequay pirate who was also a member of the White Maw. In that same year, Kandhar forged an alliance with the reconstituted Sith Empire. He agreed that his group would serve the Empire in exchange for their assistance in removing the Gen'Dai leaders of the White Maw. This alliance also resulted in Kandhar receiving cold-weather droids from the Empire, which pleased the Gen'Dai but infuriated Shai Tenna.

In 3642 BBY, Kandhar, accompanied by some of his followers including Risold, Feldon, and Halrii, convened with Tarkus, an Imperial commander, at the Tromper Crags mineral mine on Hoth. Tarkus relayed that the Imperial admiral known as the Voidwolf had approved the terms of their agreement. However, their meeting was disrupted by a smuggler from the Republic, dispatched by Shai Tenna. This smuggler informed Kandhar's pirates that the agreement would result in them being controlled by the Empire, causing them to rebel. During the ensuing conflict, both Kandhar and the Imperials were killed.
