The Karyvin clan, a deceitful family of wealthy aristocrats with deep roots, possessed extensive land on the planet Akiva. Their possessions encompassed numerous islands within the planet's Southern Archipelago, crystal mines situated in the Northern Jungles, and the historic Karyvinhouse Plantation, located in the city of Myrra, where they occasionally resided. Throughout the Galactic Civil War, this family backed the Galactic Empire, ensuring all their offspring bypassed the customary Imperial Academies and were directly enrolled in schools for Imperial officers. During the Rebellion on Akiva, the family permitted the Empire to land a pair of TIE/ln space superiority starfighter on their plantation's roof; one of these was then purloined by New Republic pilot Norra Wexley.
The Karyvin clan's initial mention occurred in the novel Aftermath, authored by Chuck Wendig and published in 2015.
