A Chiss female named Kavas Urdano, identified as a criminal, operated on Tatooine during the era of the Galactic Civil War.
Following the events of the Battle of Yavin, Kavas Urdano found employment under Lady Valarian, who headed the Valarian criminal syndicate, inside the Lucky Despot cantina located in Mos Eisley. Urdano's role was to manage Valarian's smuggling activities. This Chiss woman was a key lieutenant for Lady Valarian, alongside another lieutenant, the Gran woman named Ind. Urdano and Ind had a very competitive dynamic, both vying for Valarian's favor and attention.
In the year 1 ABY, tensions escalated into open conflict between Lady Valarian and her primary rival on Tatooine, the Hutt crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure. During this period, Kavas Urdano sought out and recruited skilled spacers to assist her in various operations. To prove their dedication, these adventurers first carried out the assassination of the traitor Cie Vos. Kavas then tasked the spacers with confronting a group of Jabba's enforcers who had arrived to eliminate Valarian operatives on the outskirts of Mos Eisley. In another undertaking, they successfully rescued Lady Valarian's advocate Ysho from Jabba's forces. Subsequently, the spacers retrieved a camera from an individual known as Ki'shai and delivered it to Urdano. They also assassinated one of Jabba's thugs who was harassing the patrons of the Lucky Despot. For their final assignment, Kavas Urdano instructed the spacers to locate and eliminate one of Jabba's assassins who had failed to kill Lady Valarian but had managed to steal most of Valarian's financial records. The adventurers succeeded once again, recovering the sensitive information before it could reach Jabba. Impressed by their accomplishments, Lady Valarian requested that the spacers transfer their services to Ind within the inner sanctum of the Lucky Despot.
Later that year, a gunfight erupted in Mos Eisley between Lady Valarian's guards and Jabba's thugs, involving numerous bystanders. A medic dispatched by the 2-1B droid Billingsly attempted to provide medical assistance to a wounded man named Jorund Redd. However, Kavas Urdano dispatched thieves to assault the medic, as she disapproved of interference in Lady Valarian's affairs. To everyone's surprise, the medic defeated both thieves and proceeded to treat Redd's injuries.
Kavas Urdano appeared as a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies. This massively multiplayer online roleplaying game was created by Sony Online Entertainment and distributed by LucasArts, before its shutdown on December 15, 2011. Kavas Urdano was present from the initial launch of the game, as part of Lady Valarian's Quest Series.
With the release of "Publish 20" on July 19, 2005, it was announced that the "Valarian Quest Series" would be gradually removed during "Publish 22" to make space for a redesigned questline during "Publish 23." The narrative of this new Themepark centered on the competition between Ind and Kavas Urdano. Although the original Valarian Quest Series was completely deactivated by Publish 23 on August 31, 2005, the proposed replacement questline was never fully implemented. Kavas Urdano remained in the game but ceased to be involved in any quests.
