Keela Nakay, sibling to Pell, was a teenage Balawai residing on Haruun Kal throughout the Clone Wars. During the Summertime War, she, alongside Pell, Terrel Nakay, Urno, and Nykl, were escaping from a conflict when their steamcrawler became lodged in lava; however, Jedi Master Mace Windu successfully rescued them. Keela's mother and a Balawai group were in search of them, but upon locating the children and Master Windu, they were ambushed by Kar Vastor along with his Akk Guards and akk dogs. Keela survived unscathed, but her mother perished. She and the other children were witnesses to Terrel's violent death at Vastor's hands. Windu brought Keela and other Balawai captives to a steamcrawler route, at which point a Balawai gunship saw and freed the prisoners. As Mace gazed upon the children for the last time, he could only wish that Keela and her companions would eventually be able to view a Jedi without feelings of animosity.
